Here are photos from the Sung High Mass, in honor of St. Philomena, last Saturday (8/11/12) at the Five Wounds Portuguese National Church celebrated by Rev. Fr. William J. Stout, SJ. while Rev. Canon William Avis, Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, heard confession before mass started. After mass, the faithful prayed the Litany of St. Philomena then proceeded with a candlelight Rosary procession outside the church; followed by the veneration of Her 1st class relic. The event concluded with a simple reception at the parish hall.

Next year's St. Philomena's feast day celebration will be on August 10th, 2013, Saturday, same place and same time: Five Wounds Portuguese National Church (1375 East Santa Clara St. San Jose, CA 95116-1251) at 7:30pm.

The lady on the left was narrating St. Philomena's miraculous intercession with the two children seen here.

  1. Is there going to be a traditional Latin mass this year 2013. Will the Institute of Christ the King come back this year year also?
