On December 19 (2009), a Solemn Pontifical Mass with Ordination to the Sacred Priesthood took place at St. Jarlath Church, Oakland, California. The celebrant was His Excellency, The Most Reverend Salvatore Joseph Cordileone (Bishop of Oakland) ordained Rev. Mr. Jose Zepeda, FSSP. In attendance were priests from the Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) and other priests of the diocese, including Canon Jean Marie Moreau (Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest), the Episcopal Delegate for the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite in the Diocese of Oakland.
