2012 Corpus Christi / Visit of Msgr. Wach

As the saying goes, better late than never. So here are the photos (and video) taken from last month's Solemn High Mass of Corpus Christi, celebrated as an External Solemnity last June 10, 2012, with none other than Msgr. Gilles Wach, the Prior General and Founder of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. Come to think of it, this blog started 3 years ago, when he also came to St. Margaret Mary's. No idea how fast those 3 years went by! Three children also got the opportunity to have their First Holy Communion that day. Things were pretty much going smoothly, that is, until the procession of the Blessed Sacrament, where, an unexpected surprise occurred (flames of Pentecost appearing on Corpus Christi?).   Afterwards, there was a special reception in honor of Msgr. Wach that took place at the Father Kozina Hall. The celebration was also for Canon Avis, who celebrated his 5th anniversary of his priestly ordination five days later.

Flames of Pentecost!
The accident was eventually taken cared of afterwards...

4th Annual May Procession at Sacramento, CA

I offer my apologies for the regular blog readers for my sporadic blog posts -- 2012 has been a busy year so far (work, family, church and such) and finding time to update the blog has been quite a challenge for me. Anyway, to make up for the long absence, I'm posting here pictures (and video down below) taken from the 4th Annual Procession spearheaded by the wonderful FSSP community of St. Stephen the Martyr Parish based in Sacramento, California (USA). The procession starts at the East Lawn Memorial Park, walking along the streets of downtown Sacramento, passing by the State Capitol, then ending at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. After a short period of preparing the altar, a Solemn High Mass in the Extraordinary Form is celebrated, which is concluded with the crowning of our Lady.
